Prefab pools in Psychiko and Filothei
Psychiko and Filothei were planned between the wars as garden cities: wide streets, large plots and lots of greenery, just minutes from central Athens.
The gardens here are mature, with tall trees and decades-old planting. The pool has to fit into the garden, not replace it.
What we watch for in Psychiko and Filothei
- Garden city rules: both areas have their own, often strict, building and planting rules. The engineer checks them before any design.
- Buried lines in old gardens: irrigation lines, drains and lighting cables often run under the lawn. We locate them before digging so they can be moved where needed.
- Water colour: in gardens with dense greenery, a liner in grey or sand tones gives water that blends with the planting, calmer than bright blue.

Are there special restrictions on pools in Psychiko or Filothei?
The garden cities have their own building and planting rules, which affect where a pool can go and how big it can be. The engineer checks them and whether the conditions for a small-scale works approval are met.
