Prefab pools in Volos and Pelion
In Volos, pools are built at detached houses in suburbs such as Agria and Nea Ionia, while on Pelion they go into stone mansions and guesthouses overlooking the Pagasetic Gulf or the Aegean.
On Pelion the land is usually terraced and the roads to the villages are narrow.
What we watch for in Volos and Pelion
- Terraces: the pool is sized to the width of the terrace, and with 1.10 m panels the excavation into the mountainside stays small.
- Plane and chestnut trees: lots of leaves fall in autumn, so the cover goes on from September.
- Guesthouses: for a guesthouse the pool counts as business use and does not add to the owner's deemed living expenses. See the legislation.

Can materials get through Pelion's narrow roads?
Yes. The panels are separate pieces and are carried in smaller vehicles wherever a truck cannot reach.
