Prefab pools in Lesbos
Lesbos is the third-largest island in Greece, with millions of olive trees, two large gulfs, Kalloni and Gera, and very different landscapes from one end to the other.
The eastern side, around Mytilene, is green, while the west, around Sigri and Eresos, is bare and volcanic, home to the Petrified Forest.
What we watch for on Lesbos
- Long distances: the drive from the port of Mytilene to the western villages is long. We organize transport so that all the materials arrive on site together and the crew works on consecutive days.
- Volcanic rock in the west: around Sigri, Antissa and Eresos the ground is often rocky. A trial pit before excavation shows whether the pool will be fully in-ground or partly raised.
- Geopark: Lesbos is a UNESCO Global Geopark, and there are protected sites around the fossils. For plots near them, the engineer checks the restrictions.
The prefab pool we build
2 mm galvanized steel panels, 1.10 or 1.50 m high, hot-dip galvanized support buttresses and a PVC liner with a 10-year written warranty. Available as a skimmer or overflow pool, and up to 50 m² with a small-scale works approval instead of a building permit. See the sizes.

Questions
What does a rocky plot in western Lesbos mean for the pool?
Rock makes excavation harder. With 1.10 m panels and a pool that rises up to 1 m above ground, less rock has to be broken. The final solution is decided after a trial pit at the site survey.
