Prefab pools in Kos
Kos has a flat plain in the north, with long sandy beaches at Tigaki and Marmari, and Mount Dikaios rising above the villages of Asfendiou. In the southwest, Kefalos has plots with views over the Aegean.
In Kos town, antiquities are everywhere: the Ancient Agora, the Roman Odeon and ruins between the houses, while the Asklepieion lies just outside town.
What we watch for on Kos
- Antiquities: in areas of archaeological interest, excavation may require notifying, or supervision by, the Ephorate of Antiquities. The engineer checks this before construction, and with 1.10 m panels the digging stays shallow.
- Meltemi on the northern plain: Marmari and Tigaki are known among kitesurfers for their steady summer wind. There the pool goes on the south side of the house, which shelters it.
- Kalymnos and Nisyros: Kos has connections to the neighbouring islands, so we also take on projects there, with materials passing through Kos.

What happens if antiquities are found during excavation?
Work stops at that spot and the Ephorate of Antiquities is notified, as the law requires. What happens next depends on the authority's assessment, which is why in areas of known archaeological interest the engineer checks the requirements from the start.
